Job description


Join our award-winning charity, offering pioneering support to young women and girls impact by relationship abuse and violence through creative and holistic interventions, advocacy and emotional support.


This role will join our developed Young Women's 1:1 Support service, providing specialist support to 11-25 year olds with experiences of relationship abuse, sexual violence, exploitation and other intra and extra-familial harm.

Our long-term intervention offers targeted 1:1 support for up to 18 months alongside a range of other community-based activities, workshops, trips and opportunities for the young women to establish safety, happiness and freedom from harm.


How our service is different


Unlike traditional IDVA models, we offer a long-term, relationship based and holistic service that is quality over quantity - working with up to 10 young women at any one time, enabling you to focus on providing the time, effort and attention to detail each young person requires.

To support you, we have the following support in place:

  • Monthly individual and group clinical supervisions
  • Weekly case reviews
  • Monthly management checkins
  • Employee Assistance Programme including counselling
  • Project Break Weeks dedicated time to keep up with any administration and planning
  • Dedicated wellbeing days.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Engage in all required training and learning to enhance skills to provide quality support; if not already qualified, this role will include completing the qualifying Young Person's Independent Domestic Abuse training which is a 12day course and follow up coursework.
  • 1 day per week for the duration of the training will be benchmarked for the completion of this work.
  • To engage and manage a caseload of up to 10 young survivors of abuse on a weekly/ fortnightly basis, including preparation for sessions, organising schedules and keeping up with associated administration
  • Engaging in weekly case reviews with the Safeguard Lead and providing thorough updates
  • To advocate for the safety and wellbeing of young women as and when required, being proactive to mitigate risks and produce positive outcomes
  • To respond to any and all safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and guidance
  • To establish innovative and creative opportunities for the young women's development
  • To work collaboratively with the wider team to offer a high standard, consistent and safe service for the young people we support organisationally
  • Other reasonably expected tasks for a person in your position, such as attend group activities To do all of the above confidently, safely and inspirationally with honesty and integrity.
