The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for overseeing, Planning, Experiential, Media, Martech, Analytics and Direct (CRM) as well as steering Marketing Operations activities across the entire global Lotus Cars organisation.

In this role, the Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for all of these aspects of marketing in order to drive our short-, medium
- and long-term revenue targets in line with our commercial strategy.


The Chief Marketing Officer will be a strong, empathetic leader with experience of working with a Direct to Consumer (DTC) brand in multiple markets with a strong knowledge of the China and US markets.


This leader will need to have a deep understanding of the fundamental tenants of marketing, be financially astute and have a deep technical understanding of media and martech.

They must be very strong in analysing data to determine clear trends and to provide insights that can support the growth of the business.


Role responsibilities:

  • Enhance and develop the Lotus Cars brand globally in service of our commercial objectives.
  • Develop global sales and brand campaigns that meet our objectives, leveraging the creative teams in developing all work.
  • Develop, lead, and own the Lotus Cars marketing strategy and the global budget for the marketing organisation including all new directtoconsumer business as we roll this out to key markets.
  • Define the roadmap and OKRs for new customer acquisition and existing customer retention including clear budgetary understanding of the cost of acquisition and retention through our respective sales channels.
  • Oversee all channel reporting, attribution modelling, and goal setting to achieve desired business objectives
  • Oversee the enhancement of all Martech capabilities, working with stakeholders across the business, particularly consumer digital to ensure we have account structures and consumer data readily available in order to achieve our DTC ambitions.
  • Operate a zerobased modelling approach across the organisation with clear MROI in place.
  • Provide visibility throughout the organisation on the health and status of all marketing activities globally, including indepth analytics, weekly reports and brand health analysis.
  • Ensure a clear data driven approach to creative is applied with appropriate testing and reporting in place to efficiently drive demand.
  • Partner with agencies and other external partners, negotiating and maximising the impact of our investments and building strong longterm relationships.
