com is seeking a senior product designer who will take on a lead role in driving design excellence and quality for Checkout.

They'll build customer understanding and craft experiences to simplify payment operations, provide transparency and guidance to unlock new revenue opportunities and protect the financial health for the businesses.

Reporting directly to the Director of Product Design, this person should be skilled in leading the creative process and a strong collaborator with product and engineering leadership counterparts.

Lead design execution within a their product teams
Drive collaboration across the product organization to facilitate building end-to-end experiences for our merchants and customers
Set the bar for design excellence with high quality execution
Identifies and helps to resolve challenges across design and cross-functional teams
com's and the design team's culture, through collaboration, feedback, and proactive participation on key programs and initiatives
Proven track record and experience in design strategy and execution
Practical experience with interaction and visual design in agile product development environment with ability to build cross-functional partnerships
Experience delivering high quality design solutions for a variety of enterprise or consumer applications that drive meaningful business outcomes
Excellent design chops, sets a high bar in quality and design craft in the organization
Strong ability to approach design challenges systematically and with long-term thinking
Thoughtful, impact-focused and intentional in design decisions
Excellent cross-functional and cross-organizational relationship-building skills, with the ability to drive organizational change around design quality
Experience developing strategic initiatives, opportunity analysis, and negotiating business trade-offs within the scope of your work
Build a transparent and accessible financial ecosystem that unlocks value for our customers.

The Financial Experiences pillar is placing a lot of focus on building their operating muscle for customer facing products.

Design has quickly become a close counterpart in shaping immediate products like Balances Top Ups on our Dashboard product, but more importantly, helping to think through and shape a longer term strategy and proposition.

The pillar is the process of defining clear archetypes and user needs, refining and prioritizing a roadmap across Client Balances, Settlements, FX, and Reporting & Reconciliation.

A core requirement for the pillar is for design to help shape processes, cross-functional requirements and rituals across Product management, Engineering and design in order to help the team work strategically, efficiently and effectively.

Design has an opportunity to define best practices and processes that enable strong collaboration, communication and high quality work.

The team is open and ready to shape the future of ways of working and the product offering as a collective (Product, Engineering and Design).

To be a more fully fledged financial platform, the FEX pillar must focus on building solutions for merchants to manage funds on the CKO platform.

The aim is to close the gaps and emerge amongst our peers as the most capital efficient multi-product platform with capabilities like data insights, account management and credit.

In the long term the aim is to create bank-like products that are highly adjacent to payment services with credit and borrowing facilities.

Improve the user experience for managing intraday cash flows with CKO.

Currency accounts:
Enhance data visibility through clearer differentiation and aggregated views.

Account management:
Currency account top-ups: Intra-account transfers: Enable users to move funds between different currency accounts within Checkout.
Facilitate topping up a currency account with a different currency, managing FX rates, costs, and timing.

Introduce features like overdraft facilities and accelerated balances to provide liquidity support and instant availability of funds for merchants.

Allow merchants to move different currencies between accounts.

Data insights:
Provide cash flow projections to help merchants plan for the future.

This will be an ongoing and highly collaborative piece of work that can be used as a team building tool and shared language.
