Job Title: Site Manager


Company:

A highly active Main Contractor focused on delivering top-notch social and private housing projects, along with a diverse range of commercial developments throughout Ulster, is seeking a Site Manager to join their dynamic team.

Project values typically range from £1M to £20M, with developments often exceeding 100 units. The current project at hand involves the construction of 95 units of timber frame houses valued at £15m.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in overseeing new residential construction projects from initial site setup to successful completion, with a keen eye for finishing details.


The Role:

  • Coordinate and supervise the construction of new residential developments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site for all parties involved, including direct staff, subcontractors, clients, and the design team.
  • Provide support to the Company Director and Contracts Managers.
  • Oversee project activities and manage on-site personnel efficiently, including both direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and clients as needed.
  • Ensure high productivity levels by effectively managing subcontractors and personnel on-site.
  • Supervise work progress, ensuring quality and timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Plan and execute daily site requirements, such as labor coordination, material procurement, and meeting project deadlines.
  • Assist in material take-offs.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, especially Health & Safety regulations, on the site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent Trade Qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience with a Main Contractor overseeing new residential projects as a Site Manager.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage site schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate diverse on-site teams effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid Driver's License.
