In a nutshell you will be responsible for:
You'll be the ultimate multitasker You'll prep ceramic sinks for firing, ensure quality by testing materials and inspecting products, keep things organized with paperwork, work with a team to efficiently pack and ship sinks, and maintain a clean workspace throughout the process.
It's a dynamic role where you get your hands dirty, put your eye for detail to good use, and contribute to the success of every beautiful sink that leaves the factory.
What you are already great at:
Production Flow:
- Set and strip clay, reset sinks according to SOPs.
- Prepare picks for packing as instructed.
- Efficiently stack packed sinks, communicating with other team members.
Quality Control:
- Inspect sinks in spray shed before taking them to kilns.
- Test materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Report any material issues promptly.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Complete paperwork accurately (Buller ring sheet, waste/good sink sheet).
Maintenance and Housekeeping:
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in all working areas.
- Prepare pallets for shipment (banding, wrapping, labeling, stacking).
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in material handling and equipment operation.
- Ability to identify and report quality issues.
- Experience with documentation and recordkeeping.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
