Our client is a growing logistics provider based in Northampton.

ROLE
In this role, the successful Business Development Manager will be acting in a highly autonomous role, where you will be taking charge of your own Business Development activities.
This is a client relationship focused role where you will be working on Businesslead prospecting and providing potential Customer assessments as you work on building up and maintaining a successful portfolio of clients.
A 'Hands On' role to be primarily responsible for winning and developing new business and promoting the Company's Export / Import logistics business.
The role will require the Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage their own diary, follow up leads and drive new business activity, attend client meetings with a national remit and support development of business relationships.
In Summary:
- Generating sales through new Business Development
- Building and maintaining successful relationships with Clients
- Managing Client Accounts
- Prospecting and assessing new business leads
- Travelling to Client sites
- Reviewing your sales performance to meet or exceed the monetary/volume targets set
- Liaising with the Company Directors to solidify sales forecasting for the business on a weekly/monthly basis**
REQUIRMENTS AND BACKGROUND - The ideal BDM will have worked within the freight industry previously and have an understanding of Export / Import procedures and documentary requirements.
- The BDM will have proven record within sales and have a commercial approach to understanding new business and client needs.
