London, Greater London, United Kingdom Stafford House Summer Full time
Welcoming, organised, responsible and quick thinking. Just a few things you'll need to be for our exciting Airport Meet & Greet Coordinator role.

Here at Stafford House Study Holidays, we provide vibrant summer-school programmes, welcoming large groups of young students from overseas, usually for periods of 7-14 days at a time.

As a Meet & Greet Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our arriving groups at one of Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted airports, welcoming them and assisting them to their transfer vehicle for the onward journey to their chosen school.

Our summer 2023 programme runs from
18th June-6thAugust.

Most of our students arrive on
Sundays, and this is when you will usually be required although there will be the opportunity of additional hours on other days.

Here's a little of what's involved:

  • Meeting and greeting groups of students (or individual students) on arrival at the airport
  • Ensuring safe transition from the airport to their onward transfer vehicle
  • Meeting and greeting each group/individual student on their arrival, making sure everyone has their belongings
  • Acting as a point of contact between the group leaders, Head Office and the schools
  • Liaising with Head Office to identify and resolve issues
  • All transfers are booked by Head Office and full details of these will provided before each shift
  • Occasionally covering other sites such as London St Pancras International (Travel costs reimbursed)
  • Acting responsibly and always ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students

Here's what you'll need to become a Meet & Greet Coordinator:

  • Able to problem-solve. What if the plane is delayed or a student has lost their luggage?
  • Be a great communicator with a good level of spoken English, and have strong administrative skills
  • Able to adapt quickly and be confident to support situations as they occur
  • You must have a good understanding of safeguarding young people for this role. Full training and support will be given before you start and throughout your contract with us. You will also receive Level 2 Safeguarding training before you start work with us.
  • Previous experience would be great, but not essential as training is provided
  • Be a team player. There can be many demands on the airport team, and it is vital you are able to work together to ensure our students receive a warm welcome and seamless transition to their holiday centres.

What's in it for you?

  • Gain experience of working in a fastpaced, fun environment with multicultural students.
  • Be a key member of a team welcoming students to the UK, many for the first time.
  • Opportunity to gain experience toward a career of working with young people or in hospitality.
  • Receive full training and Stafford House uniform (tshirts and hoodie).
  • Basic rate of £10.18 per hour rising to £10.42 per hour Plus 12.07% of the gross pay in lieu of any unspent holidays. Travel tickets while at work will be provided.
