Marketing and Communications Officer


We are seeking a Communications Officer to lead on communications aimed at donors, funders and the local community working for a charity whose aim is to help improve the lives of young people in Barnet by giving them somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

Position:
Communications Officer (Fundraising)

Location:
Burnt Oak (London Borough of Barnet) / Hybrid working considered

Salary:
£26,000 per annum pro rata

Hours:
Part time, 30 hours per week (including evenings & weekends)

Closing Date:
Wednesday 19th July 2023

About the role:

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
*Produce the required collateral and digital assets for the Fundraising team

*Manage the charity website and Social Media accounts

*Use analytics to monitor and improve the effectiveness and reach of the charity's online presence

*Plan and create a wide range of communications and marketing materials both on and off-line

*Develop and maintain a library of media resources for use in annual campaigns

*Design and publish Quarterly Update newsletters for donors and other stakeholders

*Work with the Fundraising team to create, test and develop creative digital fundraising appeals

About you:
To be successful in the role of Fundraising Communications Officer you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
*Proven Marketing and Communications experience

*Experience of planning and managing income generating campaigns

*Experience of managing digital campaigns

*Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking stakeholder activity

*Experience in social media and website management

*Excellent written communication skills

*Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders

*Competency at photo and video editing

*Willing to develop knowledge of fundraising best practice, and legal requirements to individual giving

*Good working knowledge of MS Office
