Acorn Park adults is part of our Acorn Park estate, a 30-acre site situated within Norfolk's picturesque and tranquil countryside, close to the town of Banham.

Here we have both educational and residential services, all dedicated to supporting those within our care to the highest possible standards.

This home is based Banham, and is within commuting distance from Norwich, Attleborough, Thetford, Diss, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas

The opportunity


This is a role with an exciting career and development plan, structured to ensure our staff are trained, supported, and continually developed.

There will be a thorough induction, fully expensed training courses, and pairing with a buddy, which together will help you expand your knowledge, get qualifications, and prepare to develop your career even further towards a Team Manager or Deputy Manager position.

The Role


Options Autism Work directly with autistic Adults who exhibit a wide range of abilities, from non-verbal to high-functioning and You will be patient and compassionate and, most of all, dependable - working hard to forge a much-needed relationship of trust with those in your care.


This will involve creatively learning about the adult's interests as well as their dislikes and their triggers, using that connection as a launchpad for a rewarding relationship.

A passion for this kind of relationship-building is essential.

You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the adult residents in your care.

This will include chaperoning the residents to appointments and activities, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks, and where appropriate administering medication.

You will also lead, train and develop new and existing care workers within your team, helping the deputy manager to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable team in order to deliver the best care for our adult residents.


Working as part of an incredible committed team, you will co-operate and share knowledge and learning to the benefit of great care.

Excellent communication skills are essential, both in terms of teamwork and - most importantly - as you will be in close contact with the adult's you care for.

Kindness is key. In this role, a warm smile can make a massive difference.

Who are we are looking for?


To become a Adult Care Team Leader with us, you will need to have achieved your Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care, and have at least 1 year's hands on experience in a similar residential environment.


We know that the residents in our care can be challenging, and we are looking for Adult Care Team Leaders who are up for that challenge.

You will be patient and resilient, and able to recognise the reward in transforming the adult's life. You will take care of everyday needs, using a calm, reliable approach that builds trust and confidence.

You will be friendly, approachable and kind in your dealings with your team and adult's.

You will be committed to giving them the space and opportunity to thrive, playing your part in creating a nurturing environment in which they can fulfil their potential.


You will play a key role in the smooth-running of the site, and you will have a good grasp of safety and hygiene, and a conscientious dedication to the young people's wellbeing.
