Our IHWS programme is designed to support individuals and families to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle.

The programme consists of five key services;

  • Stop smoking support _(this is where you come in)_
  • Tailored physical activity programmes
  • Adult weight management
  • Child/family weight management
  • Health Coaching


Residents across the City of Nottingham will be able to benefit from a variety of our established pathways and products, including our Gloji Smokefree online programme as well as face-to-face specialist stop smoking support.

As Stop Smoking Lead, you will be responsible for running the smoking cessation element of the contract and managing a small team of Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors.

A typical day as a
Stop Smoking Lead_ _might include:

  • Closely monitoring the progress of the stop smoking programme, reviewing performance against KPI's and producing summary reports when required
  • Taking on line management responsibility for a small team of Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors, enabling them to carry out their role effectively
  • Forming part of Nottingham's IHWS Management Team, working closely with the Head of Service and wider Gloji Smokefree colleagues, to focus on strategic and operational development
  • Promoting our smoke free programme and building effective working relationships with external partners such as primary and secondary care
  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments we're always looking to share knowledge and resources
  • Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
  • Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values

To work with us in this role you will need to have some experience of line management in the health sector and/or co-ordinating a health programme.

We're also looking for someone who has delivery experience and knowledge around evidence based interventions that focus on smoking cessation and behaviour change - a relevant qualification (such as NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training) is a bonus
