Evenlode ward is a 10-bedded medium secure forensic service for men with learning disabilities who need support. The ward thrives on positive behavioural support and engagement, using the good lives model of care.


We prioritise skill development through role modelling and education to improve the quality of life for everyone involved in our service.

The team are dedicated professionals who collaborate with patients, families, carers and staff to ensure care is respectful and dignified.

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers/ Healthcare Assistants to compliment our team. The main focus is to be committed to delivering high quality, patient care.


A large part of your role will be to implement planned therapeutic interventions and activities, promoting independence, well-being and healthy life choices whilst managing risk.

You should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need to be flexible, motivated and adaptable in a challenging environment.

The ward runs a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service. We are seeking full time applicants. You will be required to work day and night shifts on rotation, including weekends and bank holidays.

All nursing staff are required to complete the Trust Induction and Positive Engagement and Caring Environments training upon their appointment as a condition of employment.
