General housekeeping (maintaining order and cleanliness within the stores).

  • Using internal computer programs, This is a stock management/parts management database.
  • Driving license preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication is essential to everyday operations. To liaise with service and workshop departments, keeping informed those who need to be.
  • An ability to negotiate buying prices over the phone with suppliers, build rapport with a wide network of existing suppliers. Sometimes, new suppliers are needed to be found too. An ability to source parts nationwide using the internet, guidance from existing suppliers etc.
  • Dealing with customers
- selling our stocked parts over the counter, sourcing parts for the customer.

  • Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised on occasion.
  • Process paperwork (invoices, auditing/checking job cards).
  • Maintain stock levels (training will be provided).
  • An element of manual handling is involved in this position, handling parts, oil barrels, large heavy batteries, for example.
  • Time management and attention to detail are crucial, due to the demand of parts from the workshop.

Salary:
£10.50-£13.00 per hour
