iMap - individuals making autism positive, are an established support provider within the Cheshire area who have a strong commitment and ethos towards increasing the participation of children, young people and adults with autism in all aspects of living and learning.

Support Workers are the key to providing outstanding support to the young people in our care. While no two days or nights are the same, consistency in approach is key. We are looking for staff to join a small team who support residents in their day to day lives.

Our young people are very active during the day and enjoy being out and about, whether that is in the community going walking, swimming, maybe dancing the night away at the disco, or at home working on their independent living skills and in school with learning.

We are seeking Autism Residential Support Workers to work as part of a team supporting young adults. Hours consist of earlies, lates and some weekends. The salary consists of an hourly rate of £9.75 per hour based on hours per week. The salary for sleep-ins is £60 and they are optional.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help the young adults to meet their intimate personal care needs;
  • Directly support our young adults in their day to day lives;
  • Supporting with the administration of medication;
  • Attending appointment and arranging social activities;
  • Supporting opportunities in the community and actively encouraging independence.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Be compassionate and understanding;
  • Dynamic problem solver who can work well under pressure;
  • Effective verbal and listening skills;
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
