Empowerment is looking to recruit a passionate individual to work with children and young people who are eligible for children's advocacy services.
You will be part of the Blackpool Advocacy Hub, the single point of access for all commissioned advocacy services in Blackpool.
As part of the role your main responsibilities will be:- To promote the rights of children and young people (CYP) by providing effective and independent advocacy.
- Confidential support which provides information, representation, support and advocacy to eligible CYP regarding their rights in relation to the council services they are receiving.
- Support CYP to make a representation (including a complaint) if they wish to, and support them through the process.
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- A proven ability to develop positive and empowering relationships and to motivate and engage with children and young people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Children procedures.
