At the Marshall Skills Academy we are currently going through an exciting period of growth with demand from internal and external customers for delivery of apprenticeship training.


The Marshall Skills Academy now have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Instructor and Assessor with an aviation maintenance background, to join the team in this newly created role.


This role will be responsible for the delivery and assessment of qualifications and ensuring they are conducted to the highest standard.

We are interested in individuals who can cover the following apprenticeship standard and qualifications:

Level 3 Engineering Technician - City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance (Civil Aircraft Mechanical), City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Maintenance (Development Competence)

Other Responsibilities include

  • Development and delivery of learning solutions both in the classroom and via digital channels, e.g. videos; webinars; and emodules
  • Development and facilitation of selfdirected learning which includes but is not limited to: coaching, phone calls and facetoface and/or virtual meetings
  • Auditing and compliance against Awarding Organisations, regulatory organisations and Marshall Skills Academy standards. Ensuring the quality of delivery and assessment is modern and innovative. Maintaining accreditations.
  • Design and develop materials or provide information for use by internal or external audiences to ensure they are well informed and equipped.
  • Manage repositories and independently collate and analyse data using tools, methods and techniques to produce reports to support the decisionmaking process.
  • Respond to standard requests from predominantly internal customers and resolve through to a conclusion to deliver an excellent internal customer experience.
  • Proactively respond to requirements in line with EIF (Education Inspection Framework), Ofsted and ESFA where delivery is against funded programmes, and Awarding Organisation guidelines for all qualifications
  • Update and maintain the individual learner records on One File, assist the team and line managers in fully utilising the system
  • Participate in customer meetings giving regular updates on the progression of apprentices
  • Some ad hoc travel to customer sites for assessment of competence qualification in the workplace
  • Undertake training for Safeguarding, H&S, Prevent, British Values and SEND learning support.

  • TAQA / A1 / D32/3
  • L3 Teaching Qualification


Although these are essential qualifications these can be funded for the right person and they can be delivered in house at the Skills Academy.

  • IQA / V1/D34
