The opportunity:


The Federation of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools is seeking to appoint an inspirational HLTA to enhance our Teaching and Learning Team.

We are looking to welcome a colleague who can demonstrate both passion and commitment to making learning memorable whilst improving outcomes for our children.


This is a permanent post to work alongside Key Stage Two teaching staff to provide learning support and pastoral care for pupils alongside the class teacher.

You will be working in classes to deliver learning and contributing to the planning and preparation of lessons working alongside the class teacher.

***- HTLA status, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience minimum GCSE Grace C English and Maths

  • Providing planned cover for classes
  • Experience of working effectively with students with SEND, additional needs and/or disabilities on an individual basis or in groups
  • An understanding of neurodiversity as this post will include supporting pupils who demonstrate aspects of autistic behaviours
  • Experience of delivering interventions on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Being able to work effectively as part of a team and also independently manage their own workload.

  • Follow and adapt others' planning while teaching
  • Cover classes for planned absences
  • Cover a strand of PPA on a weekly basis
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an attitude of learning, continual personal and professional development
  • Demonstrate the ability to use a range of creative teaching methods to engage learners
  • Extend learning beyond the classroom, including outdoor learning
  • Demonstrate effective management of learning and positive behaviour strategies
