Who are we?
St.

John's is a non-maintained specialist school & college, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities.

Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. We also support autistic learners who have an additional profile of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) syndrome.

What are we looking for?
You will have your level 5 CIPD or be working towards this.

What will you be doing?

  • First point of contact for queries and advice from colleagues throughout St. John's
  • Support and lead managers through issues including investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, absence & performance management, and provide mediation if appropriate.
  • Responsible for keeping key documents / forms up to date with legislation changes.
  • To ensure that all employee files are kept updated, in good order and as per Data Protection and Data Retention requirements and mandatory requirements such as OFSTED and CQC
  • Carry out onboarding meetings, collate required information and ensure preemployment checks are completed in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
  • Work with HR team to support managers with absence/health issues including making occupational health referrals and follow up and assisting managers through the capability process.
  • Support the Recruitment administrator in resourcing activities including interviews, assessment days and recruitment queries
  • Supports the L&D team and HR manager as required on L&D matters. Liaises with both and passes relevant information in a timely fashion.
