Business Administrator Apprentice:

Overview:


We are currently recruiting for a new business administration apprentice to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

Full training and a mentor will be provided.

Role and Responsibilities:

Working hours:
Monday-Friday 09:00am-17:00pm with an hour for lunch.

Answering incoming calls, taking messages and following through where required.

Arranging survey appointments with customers and managing surveyors' diaries

Filing and maintaining documents using internal documents, Dropbox and EcoServe

Scanning documents

Planning installs in accordance with fitters' diaries

Checking paperwork for grammatical error/accuracy

Monitor timesheet production and update calendar for invoicing

Take card payments over the phone

Print off commercial tender enquiries and applicable drawings for pricing

Organise, input and report data

Required Skills:

High level of motivation / Eager to learn

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

Flexibility

Attention to detail

Ability to multi-task

Be able to use own initiative

Works well with others of all ages and capabilities

Sound knowledge of Microsoft office packages

Required Qualifications:

Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent

Training:

Maths and English to Level 2 required, if not already achieved

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour in relation to
- customer service principles and practices
- business principles
- technical competencies
- knowledge and understating
- research activities
- commercial awareness
- managing challenging situations and taking ownership
- health and safety

Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider - for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence


Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation.

This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project.
