About The Role:

TES are currently looking for a Supervisor within the Projects Department.

The shifts will be a combination of Days and Nights over the week including weekends. The hours each week are 35 hours per week.
The purpose of this role is to safely deliver the work plans within time, budget and to specification.

About You:

You are required to have good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.


The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential with your own transport.

Ideally you should have the following knowledge, Competencies and experience:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage allocated track projects
  • Ensure the effective performance of staff and assist with the management of suppliers to achieve the plan
  • Control / implement Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Effectively communicate task requirements to staff
  • Manage and motivate staff on allocated projects
  • Ensure that all plant has been ordered and checked by yourself prior to leaving the depot
  • Liaise with the Asset Manager/Track Services Manager to ensure appropriate vehicles are available to complete tasks
  • Ensure effective use of manpower
  • Monitor and control hours of work
  • Identify potential process improvements
  • Assume responsibility for staff welfare
  • Carry out team briefing and debriefing
  • Carry out risk assessments
