Construction Site Supervisor

Main Purpose of Job

To oversee and monitor day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with the agreed scope of works.

Must be willing to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate site activities and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control all site operations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Support the achievement of project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure effective utilization of site resources, including labour, machinery, and materials.
  • Identify and record potential contract variations, notifying the project manager or construction manager promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company SHEQ policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability, minimizing waste and environmental impact.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by line managers, commensurate with the role and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and committed individual with previous experience in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience as a foreman or supervisor, with knowledge of traditional construction activities.
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize a varied workload.
  • Recognized qualification to operate plant (CPCS) or working towards.
  • Experience with operating and basic maintenance of crushers and excavators; clean UK driving license.
  • SSSTS or equivalent.
