Exciting Opportunity for a Section Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our client's team on a prestigious civil engineering project in the East Anglia/Essex region. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a multi-discipline project with a major contractor, responsible for the Structures, Earthworks, and infrastructure packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main technical advisor on site, providing guidance to subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work, method statements, and quality documentation.
  • Manage and control budgets for sections of work scope.
  • Ensure all materials and work meet specifications.
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the workforce.
  • Attend progress meetings and carry out day-to-day site management.
  • Plan and organize plant and site facilities to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee quality control and health and safety matters.
  • Prepare reports and resolve technical difficulties.
Requirements:
  • MEng/BEng/Foundation Degree/BTEC/Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • CSCS certification.
