The Wiltshire Community eating disorder team are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Dietician to join their busy Multidisciplinary Team. The successful candidate will join our team providing specialist assessment and treatment to service users with eating disorders that have been referred to the community team.

Our Wiltshire community Eating Disorder team offers a wealth of clinical experience and development opportunities and you will be part of a team making a difference to the lives of adults with eating disorders.

Main duties of the job

This post will allow you the opportunity to develop your dietetic skills in mental health, working with adults at a vulnerable stage in their illness. We are proud of our community team where you will be based and you will have the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and really help shape the service, with the support of the mental health dietetic team.

As a community dietician, you'll be a specialist source of expertise on the dietetic assessment and management of patients with an eating disorder. You will work as an autonomous practitioner with eating disorder patients referred to the service in alongside other members of the wider multidisciplinary team. You will utilise the highest level of interpersonal and communication skills, assess the patient and develop an agreed individual patient centred clinical nutrition and diet plan, in collaboration with the patient and carer as provide a highly specialist clinical dietetic and nutrition advice service for eating disorder patients including treatment and dietary counselling to support behaviour change in adults with complex healthcare needs in eating disorders.

As a dietician within the team, you will take the lead in the development ofmultidisciplinary nutrition and diet healthcare standards, within eating disorders, ensuring appropriate local and national standards, including NICE Guidelines are interpreted and implemented where appropriate.
