Job title:
Traffic and Security Controller

Reporting to:
Head of Traffic & Security

Contract:
Permanent full-time contract after 6-month probationary period

Hours of Work:12-hour shift consisting of days, nights and weekends.

(08:00 - 20:00 and 20:00 - 08:00)

Job purpose:
To work as part of a uniformed team who patrol the Regent's Park estate,

resolving problems, regulating parking and maintaining a security watch on
behalf of the CEPC and residents.

Salary:

£34,927.00 pa

Main Duties

  • To patrol designated areas of the Regent's Park estate by van and on foot to provide effective parking regulations and Security presence.
  • To maintain a close security watch on all parts of the Regent's Park estate under CEPC control and to report appropriately to the Head of Traffic and Security, the Police and the CEPC offices, in person, by phone and by radio any issues that may arise.

  • To monitor parking permits and record information about parking infringements using handheld equipment and/or PC and database software.
  • To make daily reports of damage to lamp columns, street lighting and street furniture or other infrastructure belonging to the CEPC around the estate.
  • To identify, monitor and make daily reports of any obstruction of pavements, or works being carried out in areas of the estate under the control of the CEPC.
  • To identify and report on the status of skips, scaffolding or other works on pavements or roadways for which a CEPC licence is required.
  • To provide a parking suspension service to residents who are moving house or to facilitate deliveries.
  • To act as the first point of contact with the CEPC for the emergency services or utility companies handling emergency works or situations. To give these services appropriate assistance with traffic control, control of the park gates or with the movement of residents' vehicles.
  • To liaise with the security operations of residents and businesses around the estate to provide an effective security net for residents.
  • To make daily verbal and written reports on specific incidents as requested.
  • To carry out routine and emergency maintenance to CEPC equipment or infrastructure to maintain an effective traffic control and security operation.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be considered appropriate to this role and to meet changing requirements.

E Full clean driving licence

E SIA qualification or must be willing to attend and pass the SIA Door Supervisor course

D Experience of traffic management or street-works operations

D First aid certificate
