We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team, Salary is dependant.

Responsibilities:


Leading in the creation, implementation and continuous growth of management systems, policies, procedures and processes, covering all aspects of legal, regulatory and health & safety compliance.

Acheiving and retaining industry-standard and international-standard accreditations (CHAS
Elite, Constructionline Gold, Alcumus - Safe Contractor, Achilles Network,

ISO:
9001 and

ISO:
14001, FORS, CLOCS).

Supporting the Company Directors in introducing, evolving and delivering a comprehensive training programme, covering all job roles and required skills within the business.

Conducting internal and external site audits, as well as managing vehicle, machinery and equipment maintenance throughout operations, to ensure compliance with regulations.

Investigating non-conformance, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing associated change.
Performing regular self-education and research in order to remain informed about environmental standards and changes to relevant legislation.
Examining and improving auditing processes to proactively address compliance issues effectively and in a timely manner.
Hosting meetings with key stakeholders and employees to address any concerns regarding ethical and compliance matters.

Motivating employees to achieve and exceed compliance requirements, whilst also optimising operational efficiency and improving company culture in these areas.

Utilising excellent problem-solving skills in making critical decisions.
Analysing and interpreting information comprehensively and efficiently.
Being highly organised, ensuring excellent timekeeping and accurate recordkeeping.
Adopting a methodical and diligent approach to project management.
Using excellent conflict management skills to resolve issues fairly and promptly.
Providing customer service excellence through clear, empathetic and effective communication during every interaction with stakeholders

Additional Tasks:
Updating all management systems (IMS, QMD, EMS).
Overseeing continuous professional development.
Updating training records.
Delivering inductions and non-operational training (manual handling, office, SOPs, etc).
Monitoring relevant legislation and regulations, updating documents and processes accordingly.
Carrying out annual and ad hoc risk assessments.
Liaising with relevant local authorities, regulators and other interested parties, as appropriate.
Reviewing system reports and capturing relevant and useful data.
Developing, initiating and monitoring KPIs.
Assisting in the downloading and recording vehicle data (odometer, tacho, etc).
