Role & Responsibilities:

nLeading the C&I team with a focus on technical quality of deliverables and delivery of technical documents in accordance with schedule and budget.nProvide technical direction and inputs to the C&I team personnel.nReview and approve engineering documents such as calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets and drawings to ensure compliance with specification and functional integrity.nPerform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews - What If, Hazop, LOPA & SIL Assessment, etc.nSupport preparation and carry-out review and approval of drawings including general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, hook-ups.nEnsure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and applicable standards; ensure documents are originated, checked and approved by suitably competent personnel.nLiaise with clients, contractors and vendors.nLead on project technical decisions.nCo-ordinate C&I activities with other disciplinesnAttend internal and external project review meetings.nMonitor changes in scope of work and raises change notification with Project Manager.nInput to project plans and schedules and cost estimates.nIdentify the scope of work required to undertake a project and allocate the appropriate C&I resources.nEstimation of deliverables and hours required to deliver a project.


Skills & Qualifications:

nEngineering degree or relevant industry experiencenChartered Engineer status or working towards.nEffective leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.nExperience supporting junior team members and apprentices.nAbility to interface and liaise with key client and internal stakeholders.nSignificant, demonstrable experience in detailed design engineering.nExperience of developing, reviewing, and approving instrument deliverables such as general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, hook-ups.nStrong knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning (preferably Schenieder Triconex &/or Siemens S7).nKnowledge of DCS and SCADA systems.nKnowledge of industrial communication systems.nIdeally hold CompEx 12, with ATEX experience.nFunctional safety experience and formal certification preferred.nThorough knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards.nCompetent in the use of MS Office applications.nExposure to mentoring of junior team members and apprentices.
