We want to continue to build out our presence in an ever-competitive marketplace to ensure Buro Happold remains up to date with market trends among future talent.


  • Own the endtoend overarching strategy for Graduate and Intern recruitment in the UK that aligns with the business strategy. This will include an attraction, selection and assessment process and managing all offers for each annual intake.
  • Support the UK, Europe, Middle East, India, Asia regions to develop specific acquisition strategies and local recruitment marketing campaigns to align with overarching global strategy for early years recruitment.
  • Maintain and build on preexisting relationships with college and university careers department and directly with relevant faculties, courses, and course leaders, as well as identify potential new institutes, coordinate attendance at graduate fairs and/or presentations, both on campus or via external coordinators.
  • Crunch data Work with the Recruitment Manager to utilise data to underpin attraction strategy, and provide recommendations related to recruitment marketing efforts.
  • Use our media strategies appropriately to drive our message around equity, diversity and inclusion (in liaison with Inclusion & Diversity leads and Marketing and Internal Communications.
  • Annually reviewing and reporting of process, identifying areas for change and improvement on attraction, selection and offer related activities to the Recruitment Manager
  • Work with the HR Leadership team to contribute to the design and execution of Buro Happold's Employee Value Proposition.
  • Alongside the Recruitment Manager, manage Vendor and supplier partnerships to include contract negotiation and ownership of budget/PO process within the remit of this role
  • Manage the recruitment process for graduates, interns, and early career years via the ATS system.

Interns/Industrial Placements

  • Coordinate internship sponsorship arrangements.
  • Joining up the process to broader graduate recruitment and talent pipeline and reporting trends to internal stakeholders.
The role may also involve elements of travel between Buro Happold UK offices.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience of employer brand and/or recruitment marketing with emerging talent audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in external recruitment marketing and messaging frameworks that create strong campaigns for early year careers.
  • Demonstrable project management / event planning skills and ability to support the development of an appropriate integrated emerging talent recruitment marketing plan
  • Strong influencing and networking skills, with experience in third party agency preferred
  • Creative thinker with good analytical skills and the ability to recognise opportunities in the wider business environment.
  • Evidence of providing creative, innovative solutions using a variety of sourcing tools and technology, with a particular focus on digital media
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying market trends and implementing appropriate strategies
  • Experience of HR Databases and Applicant Tracking Systems, including accessing, inputting, and compiling and reporting on data Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to engage, communicate and identify with graduate cohort as they progress through their earlystage career challenges.

  • A highly organised, creative, and conscientious individual, capable of managing multiple key stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent written, visualisation and verbal communication skills, and can easily simplify complex concepts into compelling narratives to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • A positive, resilient attitude with a willingness to undertake volume work processes
Proven ability to manage time and act with pace, demonstrating a highly organised approach to work, and customer service.
