Purpose of the job

  • To lead/contribute to a team of childcare practitioners in providing safe and caring environment in a mobile enviroment for children aged 07 years old whose parents are engaged in a specified activity.
- provide agency support to organisations as needed

  • Provide 11 support for children within a childcare setting


Due to the nature of the service, childcare sessions will be held at various venues on varying days and times.


Range of duties

  • To work as a member of a team to provide a safe and stimulating environment that will meet the needs of children as individuals and within a group.


 If required
  • To provide a planned programme of activities which will meet the needs of the group who will be off different ages and stages of development.
  • To take active steps to develop positive and informative relationships with parent/carers, children, team members and other agency personnel
  • To be responsible for the completion of all children's and parent/carers details on registration and register forms. during mobile creche sessions.
  • To be responsible for the recording and reporting of accidents, administration of prescribed medicines and significant incidents
  • To ensure that the environment, activities, and resources are accessible to children with additional needs. support and training can be providied
  • To adhere to Child Protection procedures, to identify and monitor concerns about children's welfare and report concerns to Centre Managers and Manager of Pots of Fun.
  • To attend any meeting and training courses when required.
  • To take responsibility for informing the company of availability to work.
  • To honour commitments made to work, or advise of unavailability to work at the earliest opportunity.
  • To arrive at the childcare venues at the agreed times
  • To have knowledge and understanding of health and safety
  • To ensure all toys and equipment are to a high standard of safety and cleanliness

  • To have an excellent understanding of maintaining confidentiality.

Our workers are expected to arrive at the childcare venue on time, wearing the company polo shirt. /tabard. If providing a creche you will be expected to set up a play environment according to the age and the developmental needs of the children in a safe, attractive and inviting way. We will provide all equipment needed.

You will discuss the child's needs with the parent/carer and will treat each child as an individual and cater for their individual needs.
