Job Summary:

Suffolk Wellbeing is looking for a passionate individual to train as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at Band 4, with progression to Band 5 upon successful completion of the training. The position is based in Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds with travel required across Suffolk and Norfolk.

  • This is a full-time training post with a mix of office-based service and University commitments at the University of East Anglia.

Main Duties of the Job:

As a trainee, you will undergo training and complete a university award. You will be responsible for carrying out low-intensity CBT interventions and assessments for individuals with mild to moderate depression and anxiety, guided by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mental health/caring is desirable
  • UK driving license and access to a car are essential

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Team Leader/Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Strong organizational skills and flexibility are key in this demanding role.

Face-to-face interviews will be conducted on specified dates, subject to change. Training course commences in September 2024.

  • Evidence of successful study at graduate level or equivalent

  • Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or counseling

  • Worked with individuals experiencing mental health problems
