Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a Learning & Development Adviser who will play a key role in creating, implementing, and assessing learning programs to meet the professional growth requirements of our personnel. This individual will liaise with senior stakeholders and the HR department to ensure that our Learning and Development Strategy is aligned with business objectives and effectively communicated throughout the firm. They will spearhead initiatives to enhance the Learning and Development function within the organization.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of HR.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide advice and guidance as the initial point of contact for all L&D queries.
  • Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to determine relevant training needs.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition and Early Careers Manager on talent mapping reviews.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop L&D strategies and processes, including performance reviews.
  • Support the development of Trainee Solicitors and Apprentices.
  • Manage the L&D budget and training requests.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs.
  • Coordinate training sessions on legal and business topics.
  • Supervise the Knowledge and Learning Co-ordinator.
  • Analyze performance data to enhance training initiatives.
  • Prepare L&D reports with HR Data & Reporting Coordinator support.
  • Oversee the firm's mentoring scheme and external workshops.

Requirements

Essential

  • Prior experience in Learning and Development, preferably in legal or professional services.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities across various stakeholder levels.
  • Organizational skills with a proactive approach to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Desirable

  • Experience in identifying learning needs and designing training courses.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
