Laboratory AssistantLocation:

BRISTOL, onsideHours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 16:30We are looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Assistant who can demonstrate initiative and attention to details.

An ideal role for a recent graduate who has passionate about science also, working in a laboratory environment. Right candidate must have right to work in the UK. Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the development maintenance of standard operating procedures related to laboratory testing and processes
  • To handle, label and store samples in accordance with established protocols and to ensure proper sample identification and traceability.
  • Ensuring that the raw materials comply with company standards.
  • Work safely as defined in risk & COSHH assessments, carrying out 5 S as required, and to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness following 5S initiatives.
  • Conducting laboratory experiments and follow stability and compatibility testing of approved formulations.
  • Analyse data and provide technical reports on formulation properties, performance and stability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and new developments in the field of formulation chemistry.
  • Support on the on-going NPD projects and product launches.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that formulations meet product specifications and project timeliness.
  • Communicating with the supplier and ordering RMs when it is required.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail, work independently and the ability to effectively collaborate with others. Experience in a laboratory with cosmetic manufacturing environment will be advantageous but not essential. Your ideal Skills

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a laboratory environment
