About the Role and Company:
  • We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our growing R&D team

This role will start with a focus on technical aspects and will transition into a managerial position as the team expands. It is an excellent opportunity for senior software engineers looking to step into a lead engineer role, with ample training provided.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded systems and IoT devices
  • Lead a team working on R&D projects related to the electrification of heat
  • Collaborate with control engineers on novel heat electrification product designs
  • Communicate software-related matters to a multidisciplinary team
  • Implement best practices for software design and development
What You'll Need:
  • A degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded systems and IoT devices
  • Proficiency in Python, especially for embedded Linux systems
  • Experience with languages like C/C++, Rust, or Golang
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino
  • Understanding of Linux system programming
  • Knowledge of test-driven development and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience guiding colleagues in software development best practices
Additional Skills that Would be Beneficial:
  • Development of device drivers
  • Understanding of threading and multiprocessing
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, Modbus
  • Experience in designing and managing OTA update systems
