We are passionate about helping to improve the lives of people with complex disabilities and are looking for a part time cook to join our friendly team.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook highquality dishes following set recipes and standards
  • Ensure food preparation meets food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team
  • Monitor food supplies and place orders as needed adhering to a set budget
  • Delivering a healthy, varied and nutritious diet for our residents

Criteria:

  • Ideal but not essential; the successful applicant will have previous experience and qualifications in planning, cooking and preparing fresh meals in catering or cook roles
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures and be able to follow agreed diet plans for individuals in recognition of medical and health related issues or, cultural identity
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Skilled in food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Be computer literate and able to complete online orders
  • Good understanding of requirements from the Food Standards Agency
  • Transport is essential due to the rural location
