Teaching Assistant 1:1


One of the schools that we work with in Gloucester is currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join them on a part time basis.

This role will involve working with a child in KS1 with SEN, who will need daily support. This is going to be on a mornings only basis, so will be from Monday to Friday. This will total to 20 hours per week. Ideally you would be able to start as soon as possible.

The school needs someone with previous experience working with SEN.

The child needs support with their learning and emotionally, so they need someone who can come straight into the role and adapt to it quickly.

You must be patient and sensitive, able to persevere through potentially challenging behavior. You also must be a good team player and strive to build positive working relationships within the school

What will you need to do on a daily basis?

  • Support the child 1:1 both emotionally and academically
  • Encourage good behaviour
  • Help with reading and writing
  • Display good curriculum knowledge
  • Build positive relationships
