The BusinessDevelopment Manager – Liquid Waste will drive significant top linegrowth within the National bulk liquid product, aligning closely withthe General manager tankers, and the other commercial teams within theSpecialist services business.

A quick look at the role.

The Business Development Manager is accountable for identifyingand driving new business for the National Bulk Liquid offering withinSpecialist Services division.

The position explores thepotential market with direct customers to collect and transport theirwaste liquid volumes by maximising the utilistaion of our nationalroad tanker fleet.

The post holder is expected to bring astrong commercial knowledge of the waste sector, with generalexperience obtained within either the Industrial & Commercial,Hazardous, Brokerage or Waste Tanker sectors.. The role is anexcellent opportunity to diversify and develop new knowledge andskills in a waste specialism. We will support and offer full trainingto the post holder for them to become the de facto commercial expertfor the National Bulk Liquids business

Exploring, identifying andmanaging new business opportunities in order to secure and grow thebulk liquids product

Proactively selling profitable newbusiness in line with operating areas of strength, to achieve andexceed quarterly / annual new business targets

Developing andmanaging a detailed new business pipeline capable of providing a clearbusiness forecast of expected volumes and over achieving on targetednew business sales revenues

Producing regular activity andpipeline reporting to give commercial and operational stakeholdersvisibility of current activity and forecast new activity

Working closely with the General Manager tankers to drive a growthstrategy aligned with the needs of the business

Maintainingdata within the business CRM platform, enabling it to be managedwithin the appropriate marketing campaigns

Liaising regularlywith other commercial functions to share pipelines and best practice

Work alongside like-minded waste professionals in abrilliantly diverse environment built on transparency – notbureaucracy.

Here's what we require:

Experience of successfully developing, managing and implementing newbusiness services

General knowledge of the waste sector

Goo presentation, selling, negotiating and influential skills

Articulate, confident and assertive.

Analytical andable to quickly assess issues and recommend and/or implement solutions

Ability to work in partnership with internal departments,(potential) customers and other organisations

Robust andresilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively

Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships

Pragmatic approach to delivering to tight deadlines and targets

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise

Ability todeal with conflict and negotiate / manage the appropriate outcome

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and on owninitiative

The ability to communicate with conviction, planwith precision and, most importantly, play well with others.

Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, however A-Levels ora Degree certainly won't do any harm.
