About the role: Radar, an innovative legal news source that combines editorial savvy with advanced data processing, is seeking a full-time editor to support an exciting legal news and information product. While this position is based in London, the core audience is the U.S. legal market.

Our ideal candidate is a strong writer and researcher, excels at breaking down complex subjects and has an interest or previous experience in U.S. law. This job is well-suited for individuals with a law degree from a U.S. institution or prior experience in a law-related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit news briefs about newly filed lawsuits in federal and U.S. state courts. Work quickly to improve content and correct errors based on source material
  • Edit news briefs about recent corporate transactions
  • Master a proprietary content management system and apply taxonomy related to matter types, law firms, companies and industries
  • Assist with essential data entry and data enrichment projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share information, improve processes and overcome challenges

Qualifications:

  • You are a strong writer with at least two years of professional experience in journalism, communications or a legal field.
  • You are highly motivated with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new subjects and systems.
  • You have high standards and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • You can write quickly and clearly without making errors. Even when juggling tasks, you have strong focus and attention to detail.
  • You have an entrepreneurial, problem-solving spirit and thrive in a fast-paced news environment.
  • A law degree or legal background is a plus. Some news or copy-writing experience is preferred.
