We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to join the established Community Service Medicines Management team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


After a period of training, the post holder will work under their own initiative to support the team in the delivery of the medicines governance agenda for community services.

This will include promoting a culture of learning and quality improvement across all aspects of medicines management, supporting effective risk and incident management processes and managing systems to ensure pharmacy procedures and policies are reviewed, updated, and published in a timely manner.


Working as part of the Community Service Medicines Management Team communicate information about medicines risk and governance to community services staff.

Support the community services medicines management team in the delivery of the medicines governance agenda across community services.


To support the development and implementation of efficient and effective risk and incident management systems and processes to improve the quality, safety of medicines management across Community Services.


To manage systems to ensure that pharmacy and medicines management documents with local and Trust wide applicability are reviewed, updated, and published in a timely manner.

Work autonomously when required to promote, facilitate, and support the governance agenda.

This would include supporting the team with the investigation of incidents and complaints, governance inspections, analysing data, writing reports and updating risk assessments.

Produce data and management reports to facilitate the operational activities of the community services medicines management team. This would include assurance reports, analytical reports, performance, and compliance data for external parties such as CQC.
