Job Description

Overall Purpose

As the Water Contracts Manager at Wildscapes CIC, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and development of our Water Team. This involves working closely with the Consultancy Manager to develop and implement innovative solutions for water management in various urban and rural settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of professionals to deliver a range of water-based contracts, including District Level Licensing pond creation projects with Natural England, SUDs schemes, Natural Flood Management, and other relevant projects.
  • Collaborate with the Land Management Team to facilitate delivery of habitat management and contracting work.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including developers, government agencies, contractors, community groups, and landowners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the Water Team and develop the service offering.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in contracts management, with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and business acumen.
  • Experience in estimating and preparing bids for commercial clients and tenders.
  • Direct experience of drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDs), and competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
