Contract Manager

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Sheffield City Council. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in shaping and developing our contract management strategy to ensure we achieve best value from our external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a large and diverse portfolio of contracts across Operational Services, including general building trades, servicing, maintenance, and materials supply.
- Line manage 2 x Procurement and Supply Chain Specialists and the Energy Team, responsible for the management of the Council's gas, water, and electricity supply contracts and the Council's Building Energy Management system.
- Act as the primary client in the contract procurement process, working closely with Procurement colleagues to draft and develop contractual documents, including specifications, pricing frameworks, and contract performance measures.
- Ensure contracts align with business objectives and operational needs, and maintain an effective contract management framework to ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, able to identify and propose solutions to mitigate contractual risks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to provide guidance and support on contract-related issues to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet deadlines while working within a strict governance framework.
