- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company's standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers
- Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and project time lines.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand their material and component requirements.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact supply chain strategies.
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials and components.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory management systems to optimize stock levels
Qualifications & Requirements – Buyer
- Proven background as a Buyer or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally in the tech or motorsport industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and dynamics.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
