Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously improve the Arch data governance framework, policies, procedures, and standards
- Facilitate the Data Leadership Team, on behalf of the CDO and Chief Actuary, driving progress reporting, escalations and decision-making
- Work closely with business units and IT to monitor data quality, to highlight and facilitate remediation of data issues, so assure that it is accurate, complete, and properly managed
- Develop and maintain the strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to track the progress and success of the Chief Data Office and Data Leadership Team in the delivery of the Arch Data Strategy
- Lead the creation, maintenance and communication of Data Governance processes
- Monitor, report and facilitate escalations and discussions on data-related matters that impact on compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management, privacy, and security
- Develop and implement data governance training programs
- Continually monitor and improve the effectiveness of data governance processes
Experience
- Deep understanding of data governance methodologies and experience implementing these in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience within the Company and London Market Insurance sectors
- Experience with Collibra DIC or another market leading data governance tool
