Role Description:

As a Disaster Recovery Specialist, you will support the IT DR Manager, Senior DR Specialists, and Business Continuity Analyst.

Your primary responsibilities include managing administrative tasks in Continuity Planning documentation and review, Continuity Testing planning, preparation, and delivery, Vendor Continuity Assurance, and IT DR Service On-boarding.

You will ensure the smooth operation of the IT Continuity process lifecycle within Team Technology, focusing on minimizing potential disruptions to services through effective continuity planning and testing.


Key Responsibilities:
- Create, develop, and maintain Disaster Recovery plans for business and IT systems.
- Maintain Corporate DR Planning tools such as DRAIP, JIRA, and shared documents like the Team Testing schedule.
- Manage and execute physical testing of Disaster Recovery Plans, including:
- Creating and maintaining specific DR test run-books.
- Negotiating and agreeing on test dates/times with Application Stakeholders.
- Creating and progressing formal IT Change Control approvals.
- Arranging and booking appropriate test resources.
- Sending pre-Test communications to business and IT users.
- Coordinating resources during each DR Test.
- Gathering and collating DR test results and evidence.
- Creating and storing DR Test Reports.
- Conducting DR test re-runs if required.
- Ensuring safe and secure DR Tests, ensuring production systems remain unaffected.

Note:
Testing occurs mainly on Sundays, but also on Saturdays and weekday evenings.
- Support Senior Disaster Recovery Specialists with departmental deliverables as needed.
- Assist business and IT projects with DR process information and advice.
- Escalate identified gaps within the DR environment to the Senior DR Recovery Specialist.
- Stay updated on BC/DR industry best practices that may impact BC/DR deliveries.
- Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual and statutory requirements.
- Follow internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Gallagher's values.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by management.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
