Join our Team at Kingston Hospital
- We are seeking a dynamic, industrious, and flexible individual to be part of our innovative team dedicated to enhancing care for patients with diabetes in Kingston.
- As a Band 6 or Band 7 level podiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized podiatry treatment to patients with active foot disease within the hospital setting.
- Be involved in the South West London Multidisciplinary Diabetes Foot Team as part of the Hub and Spoke Model.
- Work within the Diabetes unit at Kingston Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services including the MDfT service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist footcare for patients with complex high-risk foot problems.
- Lead in planning care packages between hospital and community care providers.
- Deliver podiatry care including wound care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Take on the clinical diabetes/high-risk foot specialist role within the multidisciplinary diabetes foot team.
- Contribute to the development of the podiatry service through protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in departmental audits, governance initiatives, and implementation of standards and policies.
- Provide education and mentorship to healthcare staff to enhance care standards.
- Maintain mandatory training and undergo individual performance reviews.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ BSC (hons) Podiatry.
- Additional podiatry qualifications.
- Extensive postgraduate experience in NHS working with high-risk diabetic feet podiatry.
