Vibes & Verbs, a dynamic copywriting company based in Southampton, UK, is seeking a skilled and experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our team. As a PR Specialist at Vibes & Verbs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our company's public image and reputation through strategic communication and relationship-building initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to promote Vibes & Verbs' brand identity, values, and services.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders to secure positive press coverage and publicity.
  3. Write and distribute compelling press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to effectively communicate company news, achievements, and initiatives.
  4. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for media placements, feature stories, interviews, and speaking engagements to increase brand visibility and thought leadership.
  5. Monitor media coverage and industry trends, conduct media outreach, and leverage social media platforms to amplify positive messaging and manage company reputation.
  6. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align PR efforts with overall marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
  7. Plan and coordinate PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, and networking events, to engage with media professionals and industry influencers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messaging for different audiences and channels.
  • Strong media relations skills and a well-established network of contacts in the media industry.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, able to generate innovative PR ideas and initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and PR analytics tools, as well as familiarity with social media platforms and digital PR strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm and resilience.
