What does being a Commercial Underwriter involve?
As a Commercial Underwriter, you will collaborate with brokers to underwrite profitable business across a range of commercial products. Responsibilities include:
- Underwrite and administer risks
- Demonstrate strong trading and negotiation skills
- Maintain high-quality underwriting and record-keeping
- Contribute to team/business targets and development
What experience is required?
- Proven experience in underwriting commercial products
- Knowledge of MGA environment and binding authority guidelines
- Understanding of legal and regulatory insurance framework
- IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Preferably CII qualified or working towards it
