As a result of our continued growth within the Offshore sector, we are now searching for a new Claims and Contracts Senior Executive for our London office.
In this position you will be part of a world leading marine insurance provider where service and competence is key.
Our purpose statement 'Protecting ocean industries' underlines our role in society and our commitment to customers, the global ocean industries and a sustainable development.
Your responsibilities
- Overall claims handling within all aspects of P&I operations in accordance with Claims Guidelines and routines
- Undertake detailed liability reviews of the full range of offshore contracts for members, clients and prospects
- Take strong initiative in claims handling processes and is considered a role model for less experienced colleagues
- Contribute to an open, friendly and trusting working environment
- Offer support and to colleagues with less experience and actively seek guidance from more senior colleagues
- Build strong relationship with Members, Clients and Brokers
- Promote Skuld in the market and partake in marketing efforts. Participate in Skuld seminars, gatherings and events
- Contribute with articles, bulletins, circulars etc. for marketing and loss prevention purposes
- Continuously monitor claims, contract review submissions and operational performance of Members and Clients under his/her responsibility and ensure effective reporting of relevant and useful information to Head of Business Unit, Head of Claims and Underwriting team
- Actively participate in and provide valuable contribution to Support Groups
- Authority according to levels as defined in Skuld's Authority levels
- Work in compliance with current policies, instructions and guidelines in Skuld

- Higher education and at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the global offshore and shipping industry insurance market contracting practices
- Take strong initiative in claims handling and contract review processes and is considered a role model for less experienced colleagues
- Good communication skills internally and externally verbal and written

- English on high level, fluent in speaking and writing.
