The Role - Learning & Development Partner (Retail)
We are currently looking for an experienced L&D Partner to join our People team.

Creating learning paths and interventions that will train, develop, inspire and motivate our retail colleagues across all roles, ensuring competence and future progression can be achieved.

Full job description is available on request, but to summarise, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure a consistent, up to date Induction is delivered to all retail colleagues (store based, and regional) and that relevant legal and compliance training is fully available to all retail colleagues
  • Designing and delivering relevant learning solutions specific to the Division to support new products, systems and initiatives
  • Supporting the development of all retail colleagues through the use of relevant development paths including Apprenticeships, and that all retail colleagues have an effective learning path that provides full competence in the relevant role and is managed through the LMS
  • Ensuring all training tools are in place and up to date for every part of each Learning Path by liaising with relevant SMEs, end users and the Digital Learning Team
  • Supporting the establishment of Learning Leaders / Champions within the Retail business area.
  • Maintain accurate records, associated data and produce timely reports on colleague training and development as required by Line Manager
  • Analyse the impact of all training and development activity using the Kirkpatrick model (a globally recognized method of evaluating the results of training and learning programmes)
  • Design and Deliver f2f training to support the development of all colleagues as agreed with Line Manager
  • Supporting the annual L&D plan through agreed project and face to face delivery work including all development paths
  • Understand the wider HR and Organisational priorities to ensure all training interventions are reflective of these
  • Attend divisional meetings as required by Line Manager, ensure all work is in line with L&D branding, templates and methods, and keep up to date with developments in Learning & Development

Skills needed:

We are looking for an experienced L&D Partner with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:

  • Experience of training design and delivery with significant experience in a retail environment and of working with a central training / L&D team, working on training design and delivery
  • Able to develop excellent relationships with stakeholders at all levels and able to travel to visit sites in person for training delivery as needed.
  • Excellent presenter with effective and engaging communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Word / Excel / Powerpoint) and able to pick up new systems (such as our LMS, HR and retail systems)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and able to travel to UK store locations as needed
