Red Rose Recovery has been commissioned by CGL (Change, Grow Live) in East Lancashire as part of their drive to engage more alcohol and substance users in structured treatment.

We are looking to recruit passionate people who have lived experience of misusing alcohol and substances, preferably experience with opiates and crack cocaine.

We are ideally looking for people with a lived experience of addiction/substance misuse and recovery from these communities, or who have worked in these communities previously.

We want people who are able to go out into the community and engage with people who are unknown to treatment services, or who have disengaged with these services, and encourage and support them into treatment. We then need to maintain this support so that these people remain in treatment.

Red Rose Recovery use a Trauma Informed approach to support clients into and through their treatment journey.

This role will be based in Accrington but covering communities across East Lancashire.

**The Community Engagers will**:

- Be accountable to the New You Project Lead
- Work with specific communities to support and encourage people to access services
- Deliver service user groups
- Promote visible recovery
- Promote positive behaviour change, influence individuals and communities to make healthier lifestyle choices
- Help build individual’s recovery capital, empowering them to become more resilient and self-sufficient
- Assist volunteers to carry out Mystery Shopping evaluations of services
- Be an active part of and an advocate of Red Rose Recovery and the Lancashire User Forum
- Accurately record their work on our database
- Ideally drive and have access to a vehicle
