Join Rail Gourmet - Catered to You and Your Career

Rail Gourmet is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as On Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at York Station.

Hours: Full Time Permanent (40 hours/week)
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 5 am and midnight, with weekends included.
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour plus commission.

We are a top provider of catering and onboard services to the British Railway Industry, with over 40 service centers nationwide and a team of over 1000 employees in the UK, dedicated to delivering a First-Class service consistently.

No previous experience necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.

AS AN ON BOARD HOST YOU'LL:

  • Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.
  • Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, meeting sales targets independently, and reaching contractual goals.
  • Accurately manage stock and transactions, follow hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
  • Carry out Service Centre responsibilities as instructed, interact with passengers, offer information, and address varied needs along with providing precise details on services, ticketing, platforms, and possible disruptions.
  • You can access up to 50 rover tickets for TPE network rail for family & friends.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ON BOARD HOST:

  • Due to specific responsibilities in the Onboard Host role, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to handle certain tasks or work certain shifts.
  • Adaptability to function in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, which may involve extended hours and different shifts.
