We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in Havant. You will have experience in inspection and operations of different types of machinery within a manufacturing or production setting.

Do you have experience in inspection of equipment parts and materials? Are you experienced in operating CMM or other types of machines?


If so, this is a great opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our Operations team to lead inspection activities on CMM, inspect goods - in materials and ensure the quality of the product according to compliance industry standards such as ASME and PED.

You will be based at our site in Havant. The site is manufacturing leading electro - mechanical chromatography equipment (skids and columns) for biotech and pharma industry.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • Inspect and approve goods in materials
  • Dimensionally inspect components where required (NCR process) including containment inspection and packing for rework
  • Lead inspection activities on the portable CMM
  • New supplier validation testing
  • Control the ASME inspection and sign off activities
  • Regulatory reviews including quality standards such as ISO/ASME and communicates/coordinates impact
  • Offer expert guidance for root cause investigations and dispositions
  • Maintain the MRB/VOP board and facilitate daily walk arounds
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, suggesting controlled repairs or modifications
  • Troubleshoot automation issues
  • Carry out root cause investigations for non conformances and ensure compliance to industry standards
  • Read drawings
  • Provide feedback on build & potential design issues
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Writing inspection plans

What will convince us

  • Experience in inspection and operations of different types of machinery within a manufacturing or production setting
  • Use of mobile CMM (absolute arm)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Follow SOP's and adhere to industry standards (ISO or ASME)
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering materials, finished and tolerances
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication and written skills
