Data Portfolio Manager

London, Greater London, United Kingdom Saragossa Full time
Job Description

Take charge of all projects from a data perspective during a time when data is one of the most important things to this business moving forward.

You're going to be working closely with the Group Head of Data, who will give you autonomy to work on the data projects and initiatives that excite you the most. You will oversee project managers delivering the data-focused projects, but the final decision on these data projects will fall to you.

This is part of the company plan to become a data-driven insurance firm. You will manage budgets, ensure delivery is as efficient as it can be and with this, you'll make sure resources are allocated in the best possible way to ensure the right projects are delivered at the right time. Whilst you'll be able to work on the projects that interest you most, you'll need to balance the business needs with the ever-changing data industry trends.

Initially, you'll be focused on optimising project delivery but in future you will be given the opportunity to progress, whether this be by growing and building a team, or taking on more responsibility for projects. This will also be somewhat decided by where you want to go next.

In terms of experience, you're going to need to have strong experience in a similar role, with proven experience of large-scale data portfolio or programme development and delivery. The focus is less on the insurance industry – this would be a huge plus – but more on your experience of running project teams and managing project managers.

You'll be joining an insurance firm with a strong history, who've grown to become a global business. They've stayed true to their values over the past 20 years and that's led to their organic growth and strong culture. You'll be able to experience why they've done so well.

Starting salary will be up to £95,000 plus benefits.

Want to lead data projects that interest you? Get in touch.

No up-to-date CV required.
